On the morning of September 11th, the opening ceremony of the "Tongwei Daqi Class" of Grade 2025 at Eryuan No.1 Middle School in Dali, Yunnan Province, was grandly held in the school's lecture hall. Zhu Fangqun, Deputy County Mayor of Eryuan County, Li Zehui, Director of the County Education and Sports Bureau, Yang Guifu, Secretary of the General Party Branch of Eryuan No.1 Middle School, Yang Wenjuan, Principal of the school, Zhang Ting, Secretary General of Shenzhen Tongwei Charity Foundation, Tao Ruina, Project Specialist, and other guests attended the event. The ceremony was presided over by Yang Yue, Deputy Secretary of the General Party Branch of Eryuan No.1 Middle School.
On April 20th this year, the Education and Sports Bureau of Eryuan County, Eryuan No.1 Middle School, and the foundation signed a cooperation agreement to initiate and organize the "Tongwei Daqi Class". The "Tongwei Daqi Class" recruits junior high school graduates from the entire county who come from relatively disadvantaged backgrounds but excel in both academics and moral conduct. The foundation provides targeted assistance through living allowances and merit scholarships to help students successfully enroll in their ideal universities. The "Tongwei Daqi Class" is a practical project of the Shenzhen Tongwei Charity Foundation to innovate funding models and assist in talent cultivation in the field of education in the western region. It is also an important manifestation of Shenzhen Gongjin Electronics Co., Ltd.'s commitment to "giving back to society". Eryuan County is the location of the Tongwei Hope Primary School in Yunnan, which was built with the assistance of the Shenzhen Tongwei Charity Foundation. This class is a pilot project with demonstrative significance in Eryuan County.
The meeting reviewed the charitable journey of the Tongwei Charity Foundation over the years through a video presentation, as well as the spirited spirit demonstrated by the students of the 2025 "Tongwei Great Class" during military training.
On behalf of the foundation, Secretary-General Zhang Ting expressed heartfelt gratitude to the county party committee, county government, and school authorities for their strong support in the project's advancement. She said that the foundation focuses on supporting a group of high school students who are academically excellent, have lofty ambitions, and require assistance. It is also expected that the students in the "Tongwei Daqi Class" will broaden their horizons, pursue diversified development, and strive to become comprehensive talents with excellent overall qualities.
Deputy County Mayor Zhu Fangqun fully affirmed the Foundation's charitable deeds in his speech and stated that the county government would fully support the construction of the "Tongwei Daqi Class" and jointly promote the high-quality development of education in Eryuan. Principal Yang Wenjuan reviewed the school's history and educational achievements, placing high hopes on the future of the "Tongwei Daqi Class". She believed that with the joint efforts of all parties, this class would become an important platform for cultivating outstanding talents. Student representative Shi Jiye expressed his sincere gratitude to the Foundation in his speech and stated that he would cherish the opportunity, study hard, and repay the community's care with excellent grades.
Li Zehui, Director of the County Education and Sports Bureau, announced the list of students for the "Tongwei Daqi Class" of the 2025 grade. Tao Ruina from the foundation distributed living allowances and school supplies to the students.
